Founded by Hiroki Nakamura in 2001, Visvim redefines the rugged-vintage aesthetic with the application of advanced fabrics, tailoring and designs. Nakamura was influenced by a distinctive difference in the quality of two similar pairs of shoes, which respectively started his investigation into the craft of clothing construction. This influence is evinced in his employment of traditional manufacturing techniques, which include freehand machine embroidery, cochineal and mud dyes, and French crochet. To compliment these techniques, the garments are composed of premium materials, such as Egyptian Giza cotton, selvedge denim, Cordura nylon and reindeer suede. Each garment reflects its organic, considered construction in its enduring wearability.
