Kenzo

The inception of Kenzo in 1970 occurred when Japanese designer, Kenzo Takada, opened a boutique called Jungle Jap in Gallerie Vivienne, Paris. His Japanese heritage and European experience is evident in his distinctive pieces, which possess strong multicultural sensibilities. Since Kenzo’s retirement in 1999, the brand has continued to create garments which emphasise detail, vivacity and quality. Whilst obeying these principles, current creative directors of Kenzo, and founders of Opening Ceremony, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, have reinstated the brand with their own unique interpretation, which includes collaborations with artists such as David Lynch, H&M and Evian water.
